Paste your web address. I will open it, weigh everything it pulls in, and give you a specific list of what is wrong, in plain English, with the fix for each one. This is the same set of checks I ran across 1,282 local business websites for the 2026 audit.
What it checks
Twelve things, all of which I can verify from outside without guessing:
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Does it load | 166 of the sites in my audit returned nothing at all. Usually a lapsed domain. |
| Mobile viewport tag | Without it a phone renders the page at desktop width and shrinks everything. |
| Tappable phone number | 91 sites print the number as text, so a customer cannot tap to call. |
| Page weight | Markup plus every asset I can measure. The median in my audit was 1.9MB for one page. |
| Response time | How long the server took before any images. |
| HTTPS and mixed content | Whether browsers label you Not secure, and whether parts of the page are being blocked. |
| Title and description | 161 sites have no meta description, so Google writes the grey line itself. |
| Main heading | The one heading that says what the page is. |
| Alt text on images | What a blind visitor hears and what Google reads. |
| Copyright year | An out of date year reads as a closed business. |
| Share preview image | Whether your link appears with a picture or a grey box when someone posts it. |
| Table layout | A pre-2005 technique that cannot be made to work on a phone. |
What it cannot check, and why I am telling you
This runs on a server, not in a browser, so there are five things it genuinely cannot see. A tool that stayed quiet about those would be implying your site passed them.
- How wide the page actually renders once the CSS has applied, which is what causes sideways scrolling.
- Text that ends up under 12 pixels after styling.
- Whether buttons and links are big enough to tap accurately.
- Anything drawn by JavaScript after the page loads.
- Any page except the one you gave it.
Those five need a real browser at a real phone size, which is what I run privately for the audit. Send me your address and I will do the full version by hand and reply with what it found. That offer is not conditional on hiring me, and I mean that literally: I would rather be the person who told you your domain expires in March.
Then what
Most of what this finds you can fix yourself, or hand to whoever built the site, in an afternoon. The guides are free too:
- Stop your domain expiring
- Claim your free Google listing
- Why sites rot
- What a rebuild costs
- The full audit
Or I can just fix it
A flat $499 to $899, paid once. No monthly fee to me, and the domain and the site in your name from the first day. Five example builds on the front page you can open on your phone right now.
